‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’ – by J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2)
5/5

Just like I said with my review of book 1, I hardly need to help with any promotion of book 2, lol. However, all books I read get an honest review so here is mine.

I plan on rereading all the HP books this year but I was not looking forward to book 2 and I think that is because of the film. It’s not my favourite out of all of them and having not read the book since the early noughties, the film was still fresh in my mind.

Well, the book is fab. No doubt about it. You forget how much the films miss out! All the little details that would serve so well on the screen but for some reason were ignored.

My only gripe is that as an adult reading this book, all I could think was… how come a 12 year old with just one year of magical experience can do all that and figure out where the Chamber of Secrets is and Albus Dumbledore (‘the greatest wizard in the world’) cannot?? Haha, God I’m old…

So, on to book 3! (Which I think was my favourite!)
